1 suspended as 'unfit' vehicle given to Dhami
Haldwani, July 12 -- The forest department suspended the driver of an unfit Gypsy vehicle, after it was used to ferry chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during his July 6 safari in Corbett Tiger Reserve. Disciplinary action has been recommended against the store keeper responsible for vehicle maintenance.
Saket Badola, director Corbett Tiger Reserve, confirmed the disciplinary measures. "On Thursday evening, gypsy driver Mohammad Umar was suspended, and a formal recommendation has been sent to the government for suspension of store keeper Irshad Ahmed for dereliction of duty," he said.
