New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- A pilgrim from West Bengal died and the Kinnaur Kailash Yatra was suspended until further notice after heavy rain damaged the route in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur district, officials said on Wednesday, adding that another person who has been reported missing fell into a gorge. A total of 1,196 pilgrims trapped at different places along the trekking route have been rescued since Tuesday night. The ITBP and NDRF rescued 783 pilgrims from Kangrang Nala in Tangling village and another 230 from Purwani, according to district administration's data.
