New Delhi, Nov. 22 -- The Border Security Force (BSF) has detected at least 1,816 drone sightings along the India-Pakistan border and 136 at the India-Bangladesh border between November 1, 2024 and October 31, 2025, the force's annual data said.
To be sure, the 1,953 drone sightings at the Eastern and Western Theatre also include instances of the same drones spotted at different border points.
Since 2019, Pakistan-based drug and arms smugglers have been using drones to send drugs, arms and ammunition into the country. A BSF spokesperson said: "Anti-drone system is deployed on the border to counter rogue drones, that has proven to be very effective in western border."htc
