New Delhi, March 29 -- Union home minister Amit Shah said on Friday that the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, will be tabled during the ongoing Parliament session, as he went on to dismiss the Opposition's allegations of not allowing the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, to speak during the session.

Speaking at the Times Now Summit 2025, Shah also rebuffed opposition allegations of an "undeclared emergency" in the country, and said, "The independence to make such claims and not being jailed for it is a testament to the freedom in the country."
