'unnecessary' vehicles to be checked before hindon airport
Ghaziabad, July 23 -- Police said they will restrict movement of unnecessary vehicles on the Delhi-Wazirabad Road to the Hindon civil airport road from August and have decided to add a check-point about 500 metres before the main entrance of the civil terminal premises.
The civil airport currently has an estimated footfall of about 6,000 passengers per day, as the number of incoming and outgoing flights have increased to 50 while connecting to 25 different cities at present, said officials.
"It is noticed that many other vehicles also come to the road during the evening to roam around. To enhance security, we have decided to put a checkpoint. The checkpoint will be initiated by the end of July or in the initial days of August," ACP, office ...
