New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- The global transition to clean energy represents a $2 trillion economic opportunity that countries cannot afford to miss, the UN's top climate official said on Saturday.

UN Climate chief Simon Stiell, in an interview to HT, said the massive economic benefits of clean energy transition would continue driving climate action forward, despite recent setbacks in international negotiations and the decision by American president Donald Trump to withdraw from global climate action frameworks.
