India, Jan. 22 -- President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he was dropping his tariff threats over Greenland, adding that a long-term deal framework had been reached in coordination with Denmark and NATO. In a Truth Social post, the 79-year-old stated that NATO Secretary Mark Rutte had 'formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one for the United States of America, and all NATO Nations'.

He did not immediately outline the terms of the framework, and stopped short of saying the United States would own Greenland.
