India, Dec. 16 -- Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Tuesday attacked the government on the proposed replacement of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) with the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill 2025, also known as VB-G RAM G Bill, calling it a "deeply regrettable and retrograde step".
