India, Dec. 17 -- Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack at the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday morning and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah should "resign" after a Delhi court on Tuesday declined to take cognisance of a charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald case.

The charge sheet named senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

While addressing a press conference on Wednesday morning, Kharge said that the objective of the National Herald case is to harass the Gandhi family and that it was filed with political vendetta in mind.
