India, Feb. 17 -- A resident of Noida, Asha Devi was going for a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh with her son Anubhav Sahay, 38, when the incident happened. Anubhav said that they were on the staircase to platform 14 and 15 when his mother fell due to overcrowding. "I also fell and people trampled all over us. She died on the spot... An hour later, security personnel came and took her out of the station on his shoulders," he said.
