'new criminal laws affordable, accessible and approachable'
New Delhi, July 2 -- Union home minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) are "affordable, accessible, and approachable" and make the judicial process "simpler, more consistent, and transparent", while adding that the new laws will "fundamentally transform the Indian criminal justice system in the coming days".
