Bhopal, June 4 -- Tigress T2, also known as "Mother of Panna", brought to the Panna Tiger Reserve 16 years back for repopulating the reserve in Vindhyas, died in a territorial fight with one of her progeny, officials aware of the matter said on Tuesday. The 19-year-old tigress died in the territorial forest of north Panna on May 28 and was cremated on Sunday, divisional forest officer of Panna north division Gaurav Kumar said. "T-2 played a pivotal role in reviving the reserve. She was the most fertile female tigress in Madhya Pradesh after Collarwali of Pench Tiger Reserve as she gave birth to 21 cubs in seven litter between 2010-2020 and contributed to at least one-third of Panna Tiger Reserve's population," field director of Panna Tiger ...
