India, March 17 -- Towards the end of 2024, West Ham striker Michail Antonio was involved in a horrific car accident, which left him in the hospital for more than three weeks with a broken leg. The record West Ham Premier League goalscorer had a tough recovery, and recently opened up on the accident.

The accident took place on December 7, 2024, two days before West Ham's Premier League fixture vs Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Speaking to BBC, he said, "The back of the car kept swinging out on me, so I didn't feel safe. I had had it for three weeks and I was already thinking about giving it back."
