India, Dec. 26 -- The Ministry of External Affairs said on Friday that it has taken up the issue of delays and difficulties in scheduling H-1b visa appointments among other concerns regarding the issue with the authorities of the United States.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Indian authorities are "actively engaged" with the US side to address the issue, even though visa matters "fall under the sovereign domain of the issuing country".
