With the T20 World Cup approaching and Suryakumar set to lead the side, his form has become a growing concern for the Men in Blue. Once the ICC's top-ranked T20I batter, Suryakumar has endured a prolonged dip since the last T20 World Cup. Across 31 matches, he has scored 448 runs at an average of 17.92, striking at 143.13. The numbers have worsened in 2025, with just 218 runs from 21 games, a strike rate of 123.16, an average under 14, and no half-centuries to his name this year.
