PATNA, Dec. 7 -- Almost all properties of Shia and Sunni waqf boards in Bihar were registered on the Centre's digital portal (UMEED), as the deadline expired on Saturday, said the state's minority welfare department secretary, Mohammed Sohail. Officials, at the time of going to press, said that while the exact data of waqf properties registered on the UMMED portal (Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development) would be known by Sunday, around 11,391 properties were registered. This is nearly 100% of the properties under the Shia and Sunni waqf boards, officials added.
