India, April 22 -- Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Baba Siddique's son Zeeshan Siddique on Monday said that he has received a death threat via email from "D company".

'D company' is a name coined for the underworld crime syndicate led by fugitive Indian gangster-terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.

Zeeshan Siddique confirmed the incident with HT, saying that the police had come to his residence to record his statement as he had received an email demanding protection money of Rs.10 crore two days ago.

"I ignored it then but have been receiving reminders since then, including today. Finally, I had to complain to the police about it," he said.
