India, Feb. 19 -- Union minister of commerce and industry Piyush Goyal on Tuesday declared that India would become the third-largest economy in the world by 2027-28, and would add around $26 trillion to its economy by 2047. He said the nine free trade agreements (FTAs) the country had inked since 2022 were done from a position of strength, and specifically to ensure employment and secure the interests of fisherfolk, farmers, Micro and Small Medium Enterprises (MSME).
