SANGUEM, Sept. 11 -- Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar, Deputy Collector Sanguem Ajay Gaude, Chief Engineer Ulhas Kerkar, Executive Engineer Shrikant Gaonkar and other officials visited the affected landslide site at Selaulim Water Treatment Plant to ascertain the damage caused to the water treatment plant and to chalk out plans for immediate reconstruction of new clarifocculator tank.
On Monday morning, a minor landslide took place in the vicinity of the Selaulim Water Treatment Plant causing extreme damage to one of the four clarifocculator tank.
Due to the landslide, the mud beneath the 40 MLD clarifocculator got washed away thereby damaging the clarfocculator.
