PANJIM, April 26 -- Acting Speaker Michael Lobo has issued a notice to Prasad Gaonkar in the disqualification petition filed by him against Health Minister Vishwajit Rane. The hearing on the case is scheduled for May 2.
On August 1, 2017 Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar had filed a disqualification petition against Rane before the then Speaker Pramod Sawant.
Subsequently, a show cause notice had been issued to Rane, and the matter heard on August 4, 2017. Counsels for both MLAs had appeared before the Speaker and filed vakalatnamas on behalf of their clients.
