Goa, Feb. 20 -- The major portion of the Mopa airport link road will pass through barren land with some part through cashew plantation and agricultural land, he said, adding that he had assured land owners three times more compensation as well as jobs and other offers.
Sawant claimed that no houses or any other structures lie in the land earmarked for the proposed road. He said the villagers should allow the authorities to complete the survey and after that if anybody loses a major portion of land or diversion needs to be done at some places, the government will do it. "I had kept all options open to them," he said.
