BICHOLIM, Sept. 11 -- Water Resource Department Minister Filipe Neri Rodrigues on Tuesday inspected Tillari and Dhamna dams in Maharashtra and raised several issues related to dam.
The minister first visited Tillari dam and then to Dhamne dam which has developed leak. The visit was planned after the recent floods and the losses suffered by Sal villagers after water was released from Tillari dam.
During the visit, the minister came across several problems at the Tillari dam. The minister was informed that there was no proper office at the Tillari dam and no security guard is posted there.
