PANJIM, Jan. 18 -- Gearing up for the upcoming 2022 Assembly elections in the State, the Maharashtrwadi Gomantak Party (MGP) on Sunday resolved to rebuild the party organisation in a bid to put up a strong fight in the Assembly elections.

In a first step, the party has decided to field its workers for the forthcoming municipal elections, likely to be held in March.

The MGP's annual general body meeting (AGM) on Sunday adopted the new 16-member Central Committee under President Deepak Dhavalikar for three years. The new Central Committee was elected on Saturday.
