PANJIM, July 31 -- Joash Eusebio Mendonca, resident of Chorao, became the first Goan to be qualified as the table tennis international umpire after successfully completing his International Table Tennis Federation's International Umpires Examination, recently.

An active player in Goan table tennis circuit, Joash's feats include representing Goa few times at the School Games Federation of India Nationals and winning multiple inter-school and university medals and titles.
