Panjim, June 4 -- The Fire & Emergency Services attended to a 79 emergency calls and two fire-related call on Wednesday alone until 10 pm, the second day of the effects of Cyclone Nisarga.

Out of the total non-emergency, majority were related to uprooting of the trees in different parts of the State.

As per the data shared by the department, no casualty was reported even as the incidents have caused damaged to public property. In a couple of cases, the electrical wires were also snapped due to the uprooting of the trees.

In one case at Valpoi, LPG cylinder caught fire in a house. No casualty was reported.
