Margao, Sept. 11 -- The meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Consumer Protection Council, South Goa, has discussed the problems of potholes and the serious problems related to them. The NGO GOACAN said that it is the total negligence of the PWD in ensuring the safety of people on roads.
The meeting raised serious concerns over the accidental deaths due to bad roads. The bad roads have now started killing people even on passenger buses. The Road Transport Office, Traffic Cell, Panchayats, GOACAN, and others were present at the meeting.
However, no PWD official was present for the meeting on Tuesday. It informed at the meeting that PWD officials did not attend the meeting that was convened by the Chief Secretary for similar discussions.
