Brief Summary: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) has a high prevalence in patients with multiple comorbidities undergoing complex surgical procedures. Sometimes, extended prophylaxis for VTE with KLMWH or direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) is necessary.
