Brief Summary: Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures are a common cause of severe back pain and disability in elderly patients. Percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) cement is widely used to relieve pain and stabilize the fractured vertebra.
