Brief Summary: Biliary tract carcinoma (BTC) includes gallbladder carcinoma, hilar cholangiocarcinoma, and distal cholangiocarcinoma, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Chronic infections of the biliary tract are major drivers of cancer. Helicobacter species is one of the most established pro-oncogenic pathogens for gastric malignancy.
