SCIMITAR builds on our pilot study, the Feasibility and Acceptability of Music Imagery and Listening Interventions for Analgesia (FAMILIA), which demonstrated that telehealth delivery of music listening (ML) and music imagery (MI) interventions is feasible and acceptable to Veterans with chronic musculoskeletal pain.
