Brief Summary: Sickle cell disease is characterized by chronic hemolytic anemia, painful crisis called vaso-occlusive crisis and chronic inflammation. Activated platelets of Sickle cell disease patients participated to both chronic inflammation and painful vaso-occlusive crisis .
