Brief Summary: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the major cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide and most of them are characterized by enhanced generation of active -thrombin (T) from the inactive Prothrombin zymogen (ProT), a reaction catalysed by factor Xa.
