Brief Summary: Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are among the most common causes of orofacial pain and refer to structural and functional impairments related to the masticatory muscles, surrounding soft tissues, and/or the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). They negatively affect individuals physically, psychologically, and socially.
