Brief Summary: Background. Bacillus cereus group (Bc) comprises twenty-six closely related species of spore-forming environmental bacteria. Recently, increased sepsis and septic shock caused by Bc were reported in preterm neonates (PN), and the mortality rate can reach up to 30%.
