Brief Summary: Crohn's disease is characterised by an abnormal immunological response within the bowel wall leading to abnormal wall thickening, stricturing (narrowing), fistulation (abnormal connections) to adjacent organs and strictures (narrowing), abnormal motility, and local sepsis (infection).
