MONROVIA, Dec. 17 -- The Government of Liberia (GoL) has received a substantial 3,600-metric-ton (72,000 bags) of rice donation from the People's Republic of China at a ceremony that blended diplomatic significance with national purpose.

The handover, held at the warehouse of Northwestern Commodities Inc. within the Freeport of Monrovia, multifaceted importance of the donation.
