Monrovia, May 7 -- The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has issued a strong warning to students, parents, and schools in Liberia against paying unauthorized "flexibility fees" and participating in "exam camps" ahead of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), set to begin on May 15.

Speaking to reporters in Monrovia, WAEC Head of National Office Dale Gbotoe emphasized that the council does not authorize or collect any such fees and labeled them as fraudulent.

He cautioned students and parents to avoid individuals promising leaked exam papers in exchange for money.
