Monrovia, June 23 -- Police in Saclepea have arrested 30-year-old Alex Melewon for possession of counterfeit U.S. currency totaling $1,400. Melewon, a money exchanger from Ganta, was caught after attempting to pay a motorcyclist with a fake $100 bill.

Melewon traveled to Saclepea to deliver money to his father. Upon arrival, he used counterfeit currency to pay for transportation, raising suspicion. The motorcyclist, with help from local money exchangers, reported the incident to authorities, resulting in Melewon's arrest.
