Monrovia, Feb. 25 -- In a significant ruling, the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in River Gee County has sentenced 35-year-old Nigerian national KC Hope Ezechuku to seven years in prison for possessing over 36 grams of heroin, valued at $4,500 USD.

The court proceedings took place on February 24, under the jurisdiction of Judge Cllr. Wesseh Alphonsus Wesseh. The trial attracted considerable attention from both local residents and law enforcement officials. According to reports, Ezechuku was arrested by the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) on November 29, 2024, in the popular gold mining camp of Tarpoline Village, Tienpo Statutory District, River Gee County, during an operation targeting drug-related offenses.
