Monrovia, March 31 -- The Liberia Council of Churches (LCC) has denied reports circulating on social media claiming that Rev. Dr. Samuel Reeves, President of the LCC, has been suspended for three months.

The rumors, which gained traction over the weekend, suggested that Rev. Reeves was suspended after publicly criticizing President Joseph Boakai's purchase of a luxury Lexus SUV, valued at over $400,000.
Reeves' purported statement, which went viral, accused Boakai of hypocrisy, referencing his previous pledge to "ride a wheelbarrow" to work to conserve public funds.
