Monrovia, Sept. 14 -- Information Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah has been accused of assaulting FrontPage Africa's Nimba County correspondent, D. Franklin Doloquee, during a press engagement at Superintendent Kou Meapeah Gono's compound.

The incident occurred on Saturday while Doloquee, along with other journalists, was interviewing Minister Piah. During the interview, reporter Doloquee posed a question regarding the absence of Vice President Jeremiah Koung, who was expected to attend the ceremony but did not. The question reportedly angered the Minister.
