USA, April 22 -- Liberia's Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel D. Tweah has urged Africa's development partners to redirect their assistance toward investment in infrastructure and agriculture. Serving as one of the panelists at the African Development Bank (AfDB) forum on Investing in Africa's Resilience: Creating Jobs and Wealth through Regional Markets, Minister Tweah noted the need for the new structural thinking on the design of Overseas Development Assistance (ODA).

According to the Ministry of Finance, for more than five decades, the share of ODA that goes to social service has been far greater than what goes to infrastructure development.
