Monrovia, April 4 -- Benter Toe, known locally as "Old Ma Benter," died from severe injuries after being hit by a motorcycle that reportedly lost control while traveling from River Gee.
Eyewitnesses said the impact broke her legs multiple times. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Pleebo Health Center.
The motorcycle operator, Elton W. Yeaney, a teacher from Tappita, Nimba County, and his passenger, Princess Miamen from Ganta, sustained serious injuries in the April 3 crash.
Medical staff at Pleebo Health Center are considering transferring them to JJ Dossen Referral Hospital in Harper due to their critical condition.
