Monrovia, June 23 -- A vehicle owned by former Nimba County Inspector and defeated senatorial candidate B. Mack Gbliwon struck and killed a local businessman in Ganta on Sunday, June 15, 2025, according to eyewitnesses and local police.

The victim, Edwin P. Gonleyen, 61, was reportedly purchasing gasoline for his motorcycle near the Ganta Cemetery when he was fatally hit by an SUV registered to Gbliwon.

The vehicle, bearing plate number A-615978, was being operated by a family member, Morris Junior, 37, at the time of the incident.

Eyewitnesses said the SUV was traveling at high speed when it veered and collided with Gonleyen, who had pulled over at the roadside with a gallon of gasoline. The imp...
