Liberia, Nov. 4 -- As jihadist fighters affiliated with al-Qaeda tighten their grip around Bamako, the capital of Mali, Liberian Activist Stanley Delano Quaye has called on the Government of Liberia(GoL) to urgently invest more resources in the country's security and defense sector.

Mr. Quaye's warning comes amid reports that Mali's Military Junta and their Russian Allies are struggling to halt the advance of heavily armed jihadist groups that now control vast swaths of territory in the Sahel Region.

"West Africa is falling fast to jihadist fighters, and Liberia needs to be fully ready," Mr. Quaye cautioned.
