Mumbai, Nov. 9 -- Bala released in theatres yesterday. The film had been embroiled in a controversy ever since the day of its release was pushed to 8th, thanks to Ujda Chaman. Both the films looked quite similar and were about a young man suffering from pre-mature balding. But thanks to brand Ayushmann, and an excellent word-of-mouth on the first day itself, the film has turned out to be the highest opener of Ayushmann's career.

Ayushmann's Bala made a good 10.15 crores on its opening day, surpassing his last release, Dream Girl's opening day collection.
