Darchula, March 22 -- Indian police have arrested two Nepalis in possession of hashish from Dharchula of Pithoragarh district in India.

A special operation team of the Uttarakhand police arrested the duo along with about 4 kilograms of hashish on Monday evening.

According to the Uttarakhand Police, the arrested individuals have been identified as Umesh Bahadur Pal, 30, of Paunekhola in Mahakali Municipality-6, and Rabi Kunwar, 26, of Pipaulchauri in Duhu Rural Municipality-1. The police seized 3.680 kg of hashish from the arrestees.

The Uttarakhand Police informed that a drug trafficking case has been filed against both individuals under India's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
