SUNSARI, May 16 -- Three children from Dharan Sub-metropolis-15 were diagnosed with dengue, a mosquito-borne disease, in the past week.

The children are undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS). Dr Arun Kumar Singh of the BPKIHS said that the children who showed symptoms of fever, stomach ache and nausea were confirmed to be suffering from dengue.

The sub-metropolis office has started a drive to destroy mosquito larvae and spray medicines in the affected areas with the technical assistance of the BPKIHS from Wednesday.

According to Ram Babu Yadav, chief at the Health Section of the sub-metropolis, medicines have been sprayed at Everest Line, Pathibhara Line, Pindeshwor Chok, Puspalan Marga, Devkota C...
