Rukum (west), Jan. 15 -- A new drinking water project has raised the hopes of Chaurjahari residents in Rukum (West) of being free of the drinking water crisis they have been reeling under for the past few decades.

Chaurjahari Municipality residents have to wait for hours in communal drinking water facilities to fill their jars.

"We have to face a lot of hardships because of a lack of water supply in our homes. With the new project reaching completion, we hope to be relieved of this problem," said Bhadrulal Jaisi, a local.
