Akhnoor, June 29 -- A press conference regarding forceful religious conversion of two Sikh girls namely Manmeet and Dhanmeet of Ranawari and Awantipora Srinagar was held at Sant Baba Sunder Singh Gurudwara Akhnoor.
During the press conference the leaders of the Sikh community strongly condemned the barbaric act of forcible conversion of Sikh girls and demanded stern action against culprits.
Addressing the gathering they said four women have been forcibly converted, including an 18-year-old who was married to a middle-aged man, and it was said that she married according to her own will. He said it is unfortunate that even the judiciary did not do justice with the woman's family.
